1.Tell us about your new song? And what’s the story behind it?
My newest song is called “Lovebirds” and is featuring Lil Tracy. If I had to place it under a genre, I’d go with emo rap. I really like the song due to all the backing vocals; Tracy also went crazy on the chorus. I’d also like to think I held my own in having a song with such a well known artist. It was recorded quite fast, in maybe 15 minutes by my friend WettBrain, who’s also in the music industry.
2.What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?
My music is unique because I fit under so many genres. Each song of mine has a completely different feel to it and makes you experience different emotions.
3.Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
I’m most proud of how my last two songs are doing. “Lovebirds” has cracked a hundred thousand streams on SoundCloud and “Purple Potion” is at around fifty thousand.
4.How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
Honestly, I’d say it’s more balancing my other obligations with music. I’m making a big push on my music and giving myself a legitimate chance to succeed. Music has never been a priority for me prior to the last few months, which is why I’m now giving myself the shot I deserve.
5.What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
If you aren’t giving music your all, then what’s the point? Music helps and means so much to me – that’s why I started making it in the first place. Create music that you enjoy and not what you think others will like. Do it for yourself, not anyone else.
6.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
I love y’all for real. The support I get from each and every one of you pushes me to work harder and keep releasing music. I truly think I have the best and most loyal fanbase ,and the recent success I’ve had has meant the world to me.
7.What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
I’m releasing a song with David Shawty soon, which is awesome. The music video for “Purple Potion” is also coming soon as well. Make sure to follow me on Instagram (@415neddy) if you don’t already and turn post/story notifications on. That’s definitely the best place to know what’s coming next.
