1.Tell us about your new EP? And what’s the story behind it?
Rami: Break My Heart, I Riot was a very important EP to me. Mostly because it was an EP where I changed my sound completely. Talked about things I usually did not talk about in some songs. I tried to make every song unique in a different way tbh. Every song on the EP gives a specific vibe I think. The whole thing has a very SPACE feel to it. I wanted it to be like that. I wanted to challenge myself on this project to create some shit that would not be able to be replicated again… Whether I managed that or not is the beauty behind it. It’s up to others to critique.
2.What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?
Rami: I think my music is unique because of the way I deliver it. I think my voice is the most unique part because yet you can hear emotion in my songs, most people call my voice “calming”.. “lazy” yet energetic. I give a blend of both worlds. I try my best to genre bend as well in my songs.
3.Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
Rami: My best moment definitely is yet to come, but I am just enjoying every moment step by step. I try not to look in the future too much, I just focus on what I am doing now, and live from that!
4.How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
Rami: The balance is very important but achievable. I dont hide what I do. I am a music artist and thats what I want people to know about me. Most people close to me understand that & support it.
5.What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Rami: You will never make it trying to please everybody. You will create your worst work that way… Instead record whatever is real to you. Record your feelings and you will succeed in this shit. I stopped caring about making music for others to enjoy… I started making music that I felt I needed to make, in order to comfort myself… and that is what made me feel like I was making the best creations.
6.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
Rami: I love that many of you support me at my early stages. You guys really help me out with the whole music world. I appreciate you.
7.What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
Rami: I am currently focusing on new singles to put out. Especially that I am now going by my birth name, Rami Tawfik, I think it’s time I really give my best foot forward, and stay consistent with these singles. As well as content. This is a fresh restart for me.
