1.Tell us about your new song? And what’s the story behind it?
My newest song “Moving Fast” is about how we’re all moving at a rapid pace everyday. Everyone has their goals in mind and we’re all running after them. This song focuses on my struggles with that because I honestly don’t know how to slow down and enjoy the ride sometimes, which I’m trying to get better at each and every day. The lyrics in the chorus say it all:
“These days are moving faster now.
Fam telling me to slow down.
Cause they ain’t want me crashing.
Doing 100 on the dash no one passing.”
2.What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?
My music is inspired by a few different genres. It incorporates pop, alternative and hip-hop all in one. With the new music I’ve been working on, I’ve enjoyed playing with different melodies to keep my listeners on their toes, which I think helps an artist stand out at the end of the day.
3.Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
My best moment so far has been collaborating with an artist that inspired me growing up, Mike. (previous known as “Mike Stud”) Having that opportunity was a major highlight for me- when he sent me his verse I had to take a moment and enjoy it for sure.
4.How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
I make sure to surround myself with people who are always supportive, no matter the circumstance. If I decide to work on music all weekend long, I don’t have one friend or family member in my life right now that is going to knock me for that.
5.What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
Don’t be afraid to release music. I see so many artists hold onto music for so long and I used to be one of them! The only way to get better and grow as an artist is writing, recording and releasing music so you can get feedback on what people are vibing with or not. Don’t be afraid of any judgment either, you’re doing what you love- don’t let anyone take that away from you!
6.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
Not to sound repetitive, but literally, just do what you love. And if you don’t know what you love, try new things and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. You’ll end up learning so much about yourself.
7.What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
I have a couple new songs coming out in June, which I’m pumped for! The first one comes out June 3rd and it’s called “Rollercoaster” featuring a really talented artist/writer, Woody Pond.
