Trading involves substantial risk. Trading forex, futures, CFDs and other leveraged products can lead to losses larger than you expect, including the loss of all the money you put in. Past performance, examples and backtests do not predict future results. Many people lose money trading.

Examples are illustrations. Numbers, account sizes, stop-loss levels and trade examples in our articles are there to explain a concept. They are not trading signals or recommendations, and they are not tailored to any person’s situation.

Prop firm and funded-account programs. Evaluation programs from proprietary trading firms are usually paid for by the trader, run on simulated accounts, and are difficult to pass. Passing is not guaranteed, and neither is any payout. Rules, fees and payout terms change, so read the firm’s official terms before you pay for anything.

Accuracy. We work to keep information correct, but data and rules change and we can make mistakes. Check important figures against the original source, such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics for economic data or a firm’s own website for its rules.

Your decisions are your own. You are responsible for what you do with your money. Do your own research, and consider speaking to a licensed financial professional in your country before you trade or invest.
