Rap is deeper than just a genre of music. It is the feel and emotion behind the music that keeps it going.  He is effortlessly one of the more proficient lyricists and knows how to attack with his versatility at all times. We spoke over Instagram discussing extensively his life and who the man behind the mic really is. We were thrilled to meet with TheKidSax to discuss his musical journey.

Press play on “My Life” and read our full interview with the artist.

1.Tell us about your new song? And what’s the story behind it?

I dropped my brand new single my life which is a really personal song to me. The Song strongly reflects the people and opinions given to someone chasing their dreams and blocking out negativity which is where the name “my life” fits in well. I made the song back in December when there were a lot of family issues going on, where I found myself putting my emotions on a beat helped me deal with the situation and helped me cope with the accruing issues.

2.What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?

What makes my music unique is that I can switch up my style of music which keeps my music game fairly unpredictable, I have worked on a lot of pop-punk, hyper pop, and straight rap. I would describe my music as a very powerful art where I briefly drop hints about the struggles of everyday life so the listener can relate and not feel alone.

3.Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?

The biggest achievement was when my single “I tried” was featured on new music Friday and which pushed me out to heaps of new people.

4.How do you balance your music with other obligations — family, friends, or work?

How do I balance my music with school and sports? It can be very hard to find the time to sit down and make music due to the fact I’m a 16-year-old kid and share a house with 3 other people. Other than that I try to make music every day after school and take advantage of Saturdays to really focus on my music. If I can’t find time for that I’ll always be writing lyrics and ideas down for the future.

5.What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

Some advice I’d give to other musicians is FOCUS ON YOU block out any negativity and manifest your future. I can’t stress it enough people’s opinions are just bored people looking for a reaction. Lock-in, stay down, and get the work done! But most of all enjoy it!

6.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

A message to my fans would be to thank y’all for being so awesome and sticking through with me you guys are the heart of my passion and the soul of my music.

7.What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

What’s next for me? You’ll catch me branching out my name and collaborating with a lot of new artists worldwide to really push my music! Also maybe a sneaky EP!
