We had the pleasure to discuss with BigGuySky, discover our interview with her right now:
1.Tell us about your new song? And what’s the story behind it?
My song is an upbeat rap/alternative song with feel-good vibes and melodic flow. The story behind it is when we are in a relationship that isn’t the best for us we are forced with two options, “Should I stay or should I go?” This is a very common theme and I hope to relate to others who are experiencing the same. In the song, I speak about the decisions that the partner has made and how they have affected me and my life.
2.What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?
My music is unique because of the raw emotion and true stories that are poured into it. All of my music is made in my humble home studio by myself which takes more time but the ending result is much more rewarding. I also like to blend genres and themes within my music. I have a song where I have a pop beat but the content and lyric is more of a love/anguish-themed song.
3.Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
I’ve been able to reach over 200,000 streams across platforms and be able to make a small amount of money from my passion. I’ve also been featured on the “SauceOnly” youtube page and “ShiKei’s” AMV Youtube Channel. These two channels have contributed to my career and they have a combined reach of over 400k.
4.How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends or work?
I make sure to make my music a daily routine tucked into my schedule so I am able to do what I love but also take care of my responsibilities and duties. My family supports me and allows me to take it seriously and I am very grateful for that!
5.What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
If you are serious you must dedicate yourself and fall in love with the process. It’s truly a long journey and you must be willing to go the distance without any reward at first if you would like to see results
6.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
I appreciate each and every one of them and I would like to thank them for allowing me to have inspiration and a drive to complete my goals.
7.What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
I have a few projects coming up soon, I’m working on a rock-influenced song and i truly believe that it will be one to remember
