OUR INTERVIEW WITH REWIND FOR HIS RELEASE “DONE FIGHTING”

As a music magazine, our goal is to discover the sound of tomorrow. One of our mission is to put forward artists that create out of the beaten tracks with the ability to create something different.

We had the opportunity to discover the creative Rewind. His latest offering “Done Fighting” featuring Addict and Julia Alexa showcases his talent and outstanding creativity. The track immerses the listeners into unreal landscapes and a beautiful trance. Rewind is quite possibly the likeliest candidate to really blow internationally, an artist to keep an eye on.

The feeling you get when you listen to this song is refreshing and reassuring. The splendid voice acts like a balm that calms nerves and provides soothing relief from the reality of life’s hustle and bustle. It is one that would make you forget your worries in time and space. It is deeply contagious and would draw you in, till you get soaked in the allure of the song.

The production quality is professional, with sound clarity that would more than satisfy the average Stereophile. More great stuff here from Rewind.

The track, Rewind offers an excellent example of this. The music is avant-garde and ethereal, exhibiting a dreamlike quality but not something that will put you to sleep. It’s compatible with a party atmosphere while remaining subdued.

“Done Fighting” has already attracted us, and it doesn’t stop growing: not surprising! Press play right now:

1.Tell us about your song? And what’s the story behind it?

“Done fighting”

1. Done fighting is born from a Jam Session between me and Addict. While we were playing the guitar and trying the rhythm, the melody went straight to our heart. But we needed someone that could leave a mark. So we thought of Julia Alexa, a swiss singer, who managed to create a masterpiece with her sweet and powerful voice. In this song, it emerges how one is tired to fight for someone or something.

2.What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?

I believe my music is unique of its kind. It’s often a result of a stream of consciousness, of sounds, sensations, and melodies that come late at night or during a walk. I think this is what makes our music ‘magic’: not having rules and not knowing what is coming.

3.Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?

The moment that has made me proud the most has been when Addict and I have reached the first million steamings. Practically, it’s the first step of a great musician. I still think about it, I’m very very proud. I hope I have helped someone with my music. I would also be happier.

4.How do you balance your music with other obligations – family, friends, or work?

Most of the day I’m at work, but as soon as I have a moment I try to record anything that comes up so that I can work at home properly. I like to produce after having seen my friends or my girlfriend so that I have emotions collected during the day and be able to translate them into music. Or I call Addict and we try to improvise.

5.What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?

Our only advice is to take every opportunity, try new sounds, instruments, make mistakes, and try again and again. Create music that represents you and that allows you to express yourself 100%.

6.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?

Live. Do not let negativity bring you down. Life is for living.

7.What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?

Our next releases in collab with a friend of mine and partner of Addict are different than the one you are used to. We’ll surprise you, this is a promise.
