1.Tell us about your new song? And what’s the story behind it?
“my world” was made sometime around November of last year. The beat is super chill and vibey, and thus the lyrics give off a tropical and sweet feeling that anyone can jam too. I used to do a lot more of rapping, but this song was probably my first time using only singing elements, which is something I will be continuing much more in the future.
2.What makes your music unique? And how would you describe it?
I’d like to say my music features simple but telling lyrics while also creating a song that everyone can listen too.
3.Which is the best moment in your musical career that you’re most proud of?
So far, the best moment has to be my realization that I wanted to rebrand my music under my new artist name “vinn”. I made music for a year before that and learned so much, but finally forming the brand I know I want and actually following through with it as I now continue to be so rewarding.
4.How do you balance your music with other obligations — family, friends, or work?
Initially finding balance can be hard, but once you get a routine it is much simpler than it seems. For me at least, with school at USC and a couple other business ventures outside of music, I am able to find time for music as I do most of my work at the late hours. There are 24 hours of a day for a reason and not going to lie, night recording sessions are always the best.
5.What advice would you give to aspiring musicians?
For aspiring musicians, my best advice is stick with what you want to do. Do not change your music for anyone else. Follow through with that and always ask others for advice.
6.If you had one message to give to your fans, what would it be?
Simple: Thank You
7.What’s next for you? Any upcoming projects?
I currently have a song “sunrise” which I hope to release soon and another song titled “timing” which features Massachusetts-based artist “Bri-C.” I have many more unreleased songs and can not wait to let everyone hear them!
